The Grammy Award winning Washington Chorus is committed to serving the greater Washington community through innovative concert programming and outstanding education and outreach programs. During his ten years of exceptional leadership, Julian Wachner has created signature programs like the Junior Washington Chorus—providing an opportunity for high school students to sing the entire season with the adult Chorus—and New Music for a New Age—the award-winning concert series featuring living composers in a unique conversation format. His dedication to education inspired the Chorus’ partnership with DC Public Schools, forming the 2017 DC Honor Chorus, the first-ever district-wide chorus program.
Funds raised from this benefit evening will support the Julian Wachner Education and Innovation Legacy programs of The Washington Chorus.
